In winter 2013 I like every other year before, bought local hay for my Napi, now a 15-year-old Arab. It was probably poorly stored because there were already signs of mold, but after pilling some loose layers, it looked quite okay. He ate one ball of hay in one month and after that the second one. Towards the spring he began coughing and with time progressing so did the coughing. During this time I called a veterinarian twice so he could check him for his coughing. He prescribed antibiotics which didn’t help at all. The final diagnosis was: allergy to dust in the hay. The next few summers were quite calm with no signs that he was getting worse (I fed him hay that was washed), but he was constantly coughing. In the meantime, I started looking out at what kind of quality hay I buy, and I was buying only the best. And the horse kept coughing. We didn’t rode often, but when we did, we were only able to keep a slow tempo, because his energy gradually started to fade away.

At the end of this year's winter, when I was just looking for some kind of hay that could save me until spring, I got a free hay offer, that has been leftover, and I could not resist it. Well, within a week, Napi started coughing terribly. Within two weeks he was gasping for air. I stopped riding him and transported him to shorter strolls where he could graze. In the 20 meters climb, we had to stop 3x so that he could breathe.
Then I contacted Renata. She knew immediately where the problem lies and how to eliminate it. The next day, I bought haylage, but because the horse was in such a bad shape, he went to Renata the next week of treatment
After a good month of pre-therapy and therapy of the Good breath, Napi returned to me. But he was no longer the same horse. He was breathing full and calm, and his temper returned to him - again the Arab with the will to work and muscle mass. Since then, I've got both horses in the field, and so it will remain in the long run. Not only because I want to keep my horse healthy, but because the feed is much better and richer than hay.
Now, a few months later, we have been able to easily win all the peaks surrounding our basin. I ride him almost every day, which improves our fitness and is essential for healing. He coughs up now and then, but it's only because he is finish with the cleaning of his lungs.
Renata and Urška I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
